## What is XYO? XYO is the cryptographic proof layer for the real world, collecting, validating, and delivering physical-world data to AI, robotics, Web3, and enterprise systems. XYO, the original Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN), has been operating since 2018 and now has more than 10 million nodes worldwide.

At the core of XYO is XYO Layer One, a scalable data blockchain built to support high-volume data industries such as AI, robotics, location intelligence, and real-world asset (RWA) systems. Designed for high throughput and low transaction costs, it gives these data-intensive applications the capacity to process and validate information across massive datasets. XYO Layer One anchors XYO's Proof of Location and Proof of Origin technologies, establishing a verified origin, precise timing, and trusted source behind every piece of data. This verified data directly feeds the XYO AI SDK, a product built by XYO to provide accessibility for developers to build AI-powered applications, autonomous agents, robotics integrations and more using real-world data.

# The XYO - XL1 Dual Token Ecosystem XYO employs a unique dual-token model: * XYO Token: An externally traded token supporting the DePIN ecosystem, rewards, staking, and governance, enhancing overall ecosystem value and scarcity. * XL1 Token: Internal to the XYO Layer One blockchain, facilitating transactions, gas fees, and other blockchain-specific use cases.

XYO can be staked in the XYO Layer One blockchain to earn XL1 tokens.

The dual-token economics are strategically designed to increase scarcity and promote sustainable growth. The XYO token has been available on major exchanges since 2018. Major exchanges include Coinbase and Revolut. The XL1 token is now also available.

This network aggregates a range of data types, including detectable heuristic data, human-reported data such as behavioral patterns and opinions, and camera-based eyewitness evidence, then makes that aggregated data available to third-party partners.
