Infosys standardizes on Chainlink stack for systems behind 1.7 billion accounts

Infosys is standardizing the adoption of the Chainlink platform across its banking and payments work, Chainlink announced on September 22.

The Indian IT services company, listed on the NYSE as INFY, supports systems touching more than 1.7 billion customer accounts.

Six services span CCIP, CRE, ACE and Proof of Reserve

The strategic partnership spans a stack of Chainlink products. Infosys will standardize on Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, and the Chainlink Runtime Environment, or CRE.

The list also includes the Automated Compliance Engine, or ACE, as well as Proof of Reserve, Data Feeds, and Data Streams. CCIP transfers data and assets across chains.

CRE orchestrates workflows onchain and offchain across networks, APIs, and external computation. ACE oversees compliance controls.

Proof of Reserve executes automated checks on reserves that back stablecoins and tokenized assets. Data Feeds and Data Streams pull market and other external data onchain.

No bank or timeline yet backs the 1.7 billion accounts figure

No particular bank, payment network, or tokenized asset project is mentioned in the announcement. Commercial terms, a production schedule, and the first service to launch were not disclosed by either company.

The 1.7 billion figure refers to the reach of Infosys’s financial-services business, not the user base of anything built with Chainlink.

“Infosys supports critical banking and payments infrastructure for more than 1.7 billion customer accounts worldwide,” Chainlink wrote on X.

Chainlink’s post on X on September 22, 2026, announcing that Infosys is standardizing the adoption of the Chainlink platform.

The deal comes on the heels of Chainlink’s tie-up with Bottomline earlier in September, Cryptopolitan reported. Bottomline is a top-three provider of Swift services, moving more than $16 trillion a year for over 600 banks.

That deal will permit those banks to settle cross-border transactions onchain while still sending standard Swift messages.

Cryptopolitan reported that Chainlink’s 2026 wins also include a $400 million tokenized fund with Amundi and Spiko.
