Bitcoin falls below $77,000 as a Nasdaq chip sell-off sets off a liquidation wave

Bitcoin dropped from $78,767 to $75,986 within an hour on November 5, and Ether lost more than 6 percent. A sell-off in chip stocks on the Nasdaq set it off, and forced liquidations of more than $560 million deepened the slide.
